Dr. Roby (Rosebeth) Marcou is an American trained and Board Certified Pediatrician with a subspecialty certification in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Marcou received her undergraduate education at MIT and attended University of Pennsylvania Medical School. She completed Pediatric training at the Stanford University Hospitals and did subspecialty training at Children’s Hospital of Boston. She worked in Anchorage, Alaska and Dallas, Texas prior to moving to Jakarta in 1993.

While in Indonesia she worked in close affiliation with international schools throughout the region. In addition to working with individual children and families, she conducted extensive training of teachers and parents to help them better understand the developmental, learning and behavior of children and adolescents. She spoke at a wide array of international conferences throughout Asia and in North America. Her experiences in Jakarta also included 6 years of teaching at the Middle School at Jakarta International School.

In moving to Singapore in 2005, she initially worked at Raffles Hospital and subsequently at NUH-NUS where she was an Adjunct Associate Professor and Senior Consultant in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. In 2010 she opened this clinic at Novena Medical Centre. Since arriving in Singapore she has worked throughout Asia, supporting children and families and providing training to parents and teachers as well. She has conducted several support services audits at international schools in the region and provided supervision and training locally as well.

Dr. Marcou also maintains a small practice at the Chesapeake Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr Marcou is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and of the Society of Developmental and Behavioural Pediatrics and Member of the Singapore Paediatrics Society.

Dr. Marcou is the mother of 3 grown children and enjoys spending time with her expanding family!
